“Managing a Healthy Relationship with Food” is designed to guide you through your own personal exploration of your relationship with food and to lift the stigma of diet and how it affects you. You will be invited to be present with your body as you take in nourishment, and learn to place value on your personal relationship with food by understanding the effects of negative behaviors, beliefs, and unwanted symptoms. Being present with your relationship with food empowers your relationship with Life.

This discussion will take place at the Takoma Metaphysical Chapel House in Silver Spring MD located at 1901 Powder Mill Rd, Silver Spring, Maryland 20903. There is a $20 Donation fee for members, and $25 Donation fee for Non-Members. Register on Paypal at www.takomaparkchapel.org and click on “make a donation.” Or, you may pay with cash at the door.

What’s Holding You Back?

img_1699Everyone is an emotional eater – and that’s a good thing! As humans we all have emotions, and we all must eat. We all go through stuff, feel stress, talk to ourselves, make decisions based upon beliefs, and we all live in bodies. How cool is it to truly understand how what you do in life affects you, and how How you live and play impacts your body.

My goal is for everyone to have a Healthy Relationship with Food, and that is so much more than simply what you eat. For those of you who struggle, or simply want to make sure your food balance and health practices are sustainable and support your lifestyle – indulge in your curiosity, and come in for your complimentary consultation.

This winter I am holding classes to help you better understand what your relationship with food really means to you. But learning is just the first step, the real change happens when you begin to practice. As a certified coach, I will be with you every step of the way, and support you unconditionally no matter what your goals. But don’t just take my word for it – I have to earn your trust. And the best way to feel if you can trust me, is to question me.

This is why on Saturday November 19th I am offering you something VERY special … You get to check me out – with no strings attached.  Between 2:30 and 5:30 I will be holding a safe space for you to ask your most curious questions about diet, food, nutrition, and eating psychology.

Open Consultations will be conducted at

The Church of Redemption - 1401 Towson Street, Baltimore 21230

Summertime is relax time, and that often includes relaxed thoughts about food choices. It’s a social time, activity time – and food is either negatively judged, or given exemptions. It’s time to get back on track and get your body and food habits winter ready again.

Who are you as an eater?

Lisa             September is my Birthday month. And like everyone I take pause to reflect on what I have done, where I have been, and where I am going. If you have been following me for any length of time now, you understand that I have overcome a lot. I had a life changing event happen a few years back that allowed me the opportunity to go down deep, deep into myself and ask a lot of questions, and come up with even more answers. The life changing event that happened for me forced me into changing my whole life – from career, to friendships, to how I care for myself, to what I believe in, and how I want to live my life. I created a whole new lifestyle dynamic for myself. I healed emotionally and I am stronger than ever.

With all of this I have dedicated my focus to helping others (that’s YOU!) find their truth. Truth is a way of life. It’s deciphering who you are, and why. It’s getting to the nitty gritty of your soul purpose. Living in truth ideally reduces poor decisions, bad situations, and emotional hurt.

And just how is this connected to food? The way you live in life – directly mirrors how you manage your own personal relationship with food. The reason people are unhappy with their weight or body image, is because they are unhappy in life in some way. That “way” is different for everyone – Everyone has their own story. For some, perhaps pain was experienced and never properly dealt with (shifting the way their body expresses itself). Someone else may not be able to fulfill their deepest desires because they feel stuck somewhere in life (stuck in unhappy & unwanted habits). Yet others may be holding something back (and holding onto weight) – out of fear or confusion. Not living your souls truth directly dictates the domino affect of all of your emotions, reactions, and actions that follow – in the next moment, the day, the experience … and on until you properly address your beliefs and perceptions around your STORY.

As a Lifestyle Coach with a Focus on Nutrition – I guide you on your journey to fulfilling your desires and achieving your goals by mapping your dynamic, your relationships, and your beliefs – and addressing (perhaps even changing) your perceptions and bringing value to your Life. More importantly (and what I want you to remember the most) I help you learn to manage your emotions as you continue to practice your life.

Yup, you read that correctly – I said practice your life. Practicing your habits and managing your emotions – in life and in food – brings balance and success to your truth.

This may sound confusing – or hopefully, instead, it piqued your curiosity. Curiosity is a good thing. And I want you to have support along the way. To learn more, keep reading and following me – because I want to do for you what I have done for myself.
